Disney Nail Art Collab - Prince Naveen (The Princess and the Frog)

Hi lovelies! I ended up missing last month's Disney nail art collab as I was moving house/towns/jobs (phew!) but I'm catching up this month with my nail design for The Princess and the Frog - everyone's favourite cheeky Prince, Naveen!

I wasn't sure what design to use for Prince Naveen as he appears in a couple of different outfits in the film (and not to forget as a frog for the majority of it...) but in the end I chose the outfit that he appears in at the end of the film, as shown in the photo above. I mixed two green colours together to try to get a similar colour to his jacket (considering I have over 100 bottles of nail polish you'd think I'd have the right colour...!), used black from his trousers for the other nails and decorated the centre one with the detailing from his jacket. The other nails I then finished off with a little confetti polish. What do you think?

The nail colours I used for this look are:
Green nails - Rimmel's Lasting Finish in Green Grass & Ciate's Paint Pot in Tweed and Tails
Black nails - Revlon's Parfumerie in Espresso
Confetti tips - Loreal's Color Riche in Confettis
Detailing - Barry M's Nail Art Pen in Black

Make sure to check out Sam's Tiana to my Prince Naveen (her design is SO cute!) and her nail art look from last month - Lady from Lady and the Tramp!

See you next month when we take on the original Princess and her Prince!

My Unpopular Disney Opinions

Hi lovelies! There's been quite a few times where I've found myself very much in the minority with my Disney opinions so today I thought I'd share a few of my unpopular opinions in the hope I find someone who agrees with me, haha! Before I begin this though, I wanted to state that these are just my own (garbage) thoughts and I'm not here to bash anyone who has a different opinion to me!

1. I know most Disney fans are sick of Frozen but I still love it!
I'm not going to lie, the merchandise is definitely a bit OTT and I think everyone's heard Let It Go one too many times, but I still love the film so much. Bring on Frozen 2!

2. I don't understand why Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid are some of the most beloved Disney films
Of course I like them but in comparison to other Disney films, even from the same era, I'm not sure why they get the most love?! There are at least 20 Disney animated classics that I prefer in preference to them. Eeeek.

3. Every time Disney announces a new live action re-telling film I'm just like YYAAASSSS!
I think they're a great way for Disney to update their best-loved stories for a new generation I love that they add extra details to the story in doing so!

4. I think Zooptropolis did deserve to win the Oscar over Moana
Don't get me wrong, I love, love, LOVE Moana, but I think Zootropolis is a more well-rounded film and it's message is especially important with what is happening in the world right now (Donald Trump, I'm looking at you).

5. I don't really like Tinkerbell
I know this is like Disney fan sacrilege but I've just always found her a bit annoying! I love Peter Pan as a film though so of course I'll still be picking up some pieces from the upcoming Cath Kidston x Peter Pan collection, even if they are covered in Tinkerbell motifs!

6. The soundtrack from the second Lion King film is better than the first
He Lives In You is better than Circle of Life. Don't @ me.

Hahaha... Don't mind me I'll just be hiding in the corner forever now! Feel free to give me a tweet if you agree or disagree with any of these! *gulp*

The 2017 Disney Halloween Gift Exchange!

Hi lovelies! I don't know about you but despite the fact I'm a Summer baby through-and-through, as the days creep closer to Autumn I'm already getting excited for Halloween! Last year I organised a Disney Halloween gift exchange on Twitter so I thought I'd organise another this year to satisfy my Halloween cravings! In case you're not familiar with gift exchanges, you'll be given a person to send a gift to and you'll receive one yourself off someone else. It's a great way to get to know more people in the Disney community!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

If this sounds like something you'd like to take part in, here are all the details:

1. As with last year the theme for this gift exchange is Disney and Halloween, so make sure you include something Halloween-y in your gift, like some themed sweets or a print/card (Alice Vitrum's Deadly Apple Print would be perfect!). If you'd like to see examples of the gifts people sent last year, take a look at the #DisneyHalloweenGE hashtag on Twitter.

2. The budget is £10 again but handmade gifts are more than welcome!

3. This will be a secret exchange - I will collect everyone's details and then randomly allocate everyone a person to send to! Remember to include your twitter handle with your gift so the recipient knows who sent it!

4. This is open to anyone who would like to take part but only addresses in Europe I'm afraid due to postage costs!

5. I will be collecting details until the end of 1st October and I'll let everyone know who their recipient is shortly after that

6. You can begin posting your gift from the moment you know who your recipient is, but the last posting date is Friday 13th October so everyone can receive their gift before Halloween. If I haven't heard from anyone that they've posted their gift before this date I'll be chasing people so make sure to let me know when yours is posted!

7. Due to problems with a couple of gifts last year, you must obtain proof of postage and send a photo of this to me once you've posted your gift

8. If you haven't received a gift by 23rd October let me know and I'll sort something out for you - everyone will definitely receive something one way or another!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

If you'd like to get involved, send me a direct message on Twitter (@kindnesscourage) with these details:

1. Your full name and address
2. Whether you'd be happy to post to another country in the EU
(Don't worry if not, I totally know what it's like to be on a budget!)
3. A few of your favourite Disney characters/films
(To make it easier for the person who is buying for you)
4. Whether you'd be happy to receive sweets/chocolates

I think that's everything! As always, feel free to pop me a tweet or a direct message if there's anything you're unsure of or would like to ask!

5 Films I Wish Disney Would Make More Merch Of

Hi lovelies! As a regular shopper with the Disney Store (25 years old and I still place an order about once a month...) I can't help but notice that they seem to cycle through the same number of films for merchandise which unfortunately means quite a few get left out! So today I thought I'd share 5 of the films I've been wishing for more merchandise of:

Tarzan
I honestly don't know if I've ever seen a single piece of Tarzan merchandise on the Disney Store website in recent years, aside from the DVD itself! Tarzan is such a great, great film so I can't understand why it doesn't feature on any products.

The Princess and the Frog
Although there is a fair bit more of The Princess and the Frog merchandise about than other films I've included in this list, there is still a lot less of it in comparison to some of the other Princess films. I've been after a Tiana mug for months but the Disney Store hasn't released a single one recently!

Mulan
Mulan is easily one of my favourite ever Disney films so it breaks my heart that Disney seem to mostly neglect it in the merchandise department. With the upcoming live action adaptation though I'm hoping it might get some more love. Fingers crossed for an Art of Mulan collection!

Wreck-It Ralph
Despite being released only 5 years ago Wreck-It Ralph seems to have already disappeared off the Disney Store's radar which is such a shame. Like Mulan though, Wreck-It Ralph has another film on the way, Wreck-It Ralph 2, so hopefully we'll see some more pieces then. I need something with Vanellope on!

Hercules
And finally who doesn't want a beautiful Hercules mug?! I'd have thought Meg and the Muses would have at least made it onto some merchandise from their sheer sass but there's never anything from this film available!

So please Disney Store give some of your other films a little love! Let's face it, I'd probably buy a mug of every Disney film I like if I could haha!

What Disney films would you like to see more merchandise of?
