5 Things I'm Most Excited About With The Upcoming Beauty and the Beast Remake

As I've said before on my Disney Confessions post I'm not the biggest Beauty and the Beast fan out there but I have to admit I'm very excited for the upcoming live action remake! Now that we've finally had our first glimpse of the film from the teaser trailer that was released this week (seriously - how stunning?!) I thought I'd share 5 of things that I'm most excited about with the remake:

1. Seeing Emma Watson play Belle
I love Emma Watson so I can't wait to see her play Belle!

2. Luke Evans as Gaston
Similarly I was also so happy to hear Luke Evans had been cast as Gaston - I don't think they could have chosen another actor more suited to the part! I hope we get to see a peek of him in the next trailer.

3. The costumes
I don't keep up with fashion but I love beautiful clothing and to me every costume in the recent Live Action Cinderella was absolutely stunning, even Ella's maid costume, so I'm hoping we'll see some gorgeous creations in this film too. I'm especially excited to see their take on Belle's yellow ballgown!

4. The merchandise
Please tell me I'm not the only one already excited about this?! I foresee at least a new mug and a Funko Pop being added to my collection!

5. Mrs Potts, Chip, Lumiere & Cogsworth
These were some of my favourite characters from the 1991 film so I'm looking forward to seeing how Disney update them for the new film!

Let me know what you thought of the trailer and what you're excited for too!

Alice Wishlist

With the upcoming release of Disney's new Alice Through the Looking Glass film there's lots of lovely Alice-related merchandise about at the moment! Although I wasn't a fan of the first live action film I'm a huge Alice In Wonderland fan in general, so as it's a week today until the release of the new film I thought I'd share the Alice things I've been coveting recently to celebrate!

1. Alice In Wonderland Flower Dress, EMP (£32.99)
EMP actually have a really great range of Disney and Star Wars merchandise on their website and this Alice dress is top of my wishlist from their things!

2. Grey Alice "Lost In Wonderland" T-Shirt, Primark (£6.00)
How downright adorable is this shirt? Primark always seem to have some lovely Disney designs but this one is especially cute! I have a feeling this might 'accidentally' slip into my basket when I go shopping this weekend...

3. Alice in Wonderland Rose Gold-Plated Key Bracelet, Disney Couture (£29.00)
The picture above from the Disney Couture website doesn't really do this bracelet justice (you can see a better picture on their Instagram here) but Disney + rose gold will always be a winner for me! The little tag on it says "made with care in Wonderland" as well which is such a cute touch!

4. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Penguin Clothbound Classic, Waterstones (£14.99)
I've been slowly collection Penguin's gorgeous Clothbound Classics collection (if you've not seen them before you can see some pictures here) and I think the Alice book needs to be my next one!

5. Mad Hatter Necklace, The Disney Store (£34.95)
This is from the Disney Store's new range of merchandise for Alice Through the Looking Glass and it's definitely my favourite piece from the collection. I'm hoping this sticks around long enough to go into the sale... If I don't cave and buy it before then that is!

6. What's The Hatter With You?, A Mirror Escape & What Time Isn't It? Nail Lacquers, OPI (from £12.50)
I don't think I've mentioned it on here before but I'm a HUGE nail polish fan - I have over 100 bottles of the stuff - so I was really excited to see OPI had released a collection for the new film! As I have so many nail polishes already it's quite hard to find colours that I don't already have but these three seem quite unique and from looking at swatches online they look stunning!

All images used in this post were found on the seller's respective websites linked above apart from the image of OPI's What Time Isn't It? which was found here

Alice In Wonderland Series 2 Tsum Tsum Collection Review

Hey guys! Yesterday the UK Disney Store released an updated Alice In Wonderland Tsum Tsum collection and I, like many people, was really excited about it as the animated Alice film is one of my all-time favourite Disney classics, but unfortunately it ended up turning into a bit of a nightmare! I wasn't planning on doing a post on these but after what happened yesterday I wanted to share my thoughts on the release and the collection itself!
First up, let's talk about the release! I've been collecting Tsums since August of last year and every release I've bought from didn't appear to suffer any major problems but unfortunately it seemed to all go downhill yesterday! Within minutes of the collection appearing online a number of characters sold out and then the website didn't update fast enough so even though some people were able to order certain characters they later had these cancelled as there wasn't the stock to fulfill them. In the afternoon the Disney Store then sent out a blanket email to most, if not everyone, who ordered from the collection to say that they might have certain characters cancelled off their order which naturally caused a lot of panic! And then with the physical shops, some of the stores received very small numbers of Tsums, whilst others reportedly let some people buy more than the in-store maximum of two characters per person as some of the rarer characters, such as the two Absolems, appeared very quickly on eBay in large quantities for upwards of £20 each! You can see why lushvoyage on Instagram dubbed yesterday #alicegate haha!

I know this isn't the end of the world and I don't mean to bash the Disney Store as they would never have intended for this to happen but this caused a lot of headaches for most people who bought these yesterday. I know I'd be upset if I thought I'd ordered these only for some of them to be cancelled and then my only option being to purchase them for more than 6 times the price! I'm so, so grateful mine all arrived okay - it seems like I was one of very few people who got everything they ordered sadly. I really hope Disney reviews how they do releases after this as it would be horrible if people keep missing out on Tsum Tsums due to website issues and individuals who buy large quantities to sell on.
...And finally onto the Tsum Tsums themselves! Although they're unfortunately not as squishy as some other Tsums I am so pleased with this collection. I didn't like many of the Tsums from the first Alice collection because they didn't resemble their characters very well but Disney have definitely rectified that with these. Plus the attention to detail on these is brilliant - I especially love Alice's white bow, the White Rabbit's heart on his tummy and the Caterpillar's little feet and hands. So adorable! These have definitely become one of my favourite collections, despite the drama of  ordering them!

Did you managed to nab any of the Tsums from this collection? Did you have any issues when ordering/picking them up?

P.S. The first post on my entire Tsum Tsum collection will be up next week!

Tsum Tsum Series | The Tsum Tsum Tag

I've been meaning to post about my Tsum Tsum collection ever since I started this blog, seeing as it was Tsum Tsums that originally introduced me to Disney blogging! I'm planning on doing a series of Tsum-related posts, including my collection and how I store my Tsums, so when Jade from Outside the Tower tagged me to do the Tsum Tsum tag (originally from On Mitchell's Mind) I thought I'd kick things off with this!

1. How many Tsum Tsums have you got?
At the time of writing this I've got three mediums and over 130 minis but this number goes up every month! Damn the Disney Store and their two-collections-a-month releases!

2. What was your first?
My boyfriend bought me Thumper from Bambi which started the obsession! Obviously I blame him for all of this... ;)

3. Do you have full set? & 4. What is your favourite set?
I'm going to answer these together as the answer is the same for both! I'm not a proper collector - I don't try to collect full sets, just the characters I like or Tsums that are particularly cute but I do have one full set - the Chocolate Box Valentine's collection because they are my favourites. I love their polka dot outfits and the ribbons around their tummies! This collection was previously Japan-exclusive and unfortunately I had paid a lot of money to buy up 7 of the Tsums before they announced they were releasing the box set over here!

5. Who is your most wanted Tsum Tsum?
Probably Flash from Zooptropolis at the moment. I made the mistake of not buying the Zooptropolis Tsums when the came out so I'm missing quite a few from the collection that I'd like but Flash is definitely top of the list!

6. What set do you want them to make?
Mulan and Hercules. Please. Please. PLEASE.

7. Do you collect just Disney or do you collect the Star Wars and Marvel ones?
I have some Tsums from both of the Star Wars collections and I'll be buying all of The Force Awakens collection when it's released next month (dat medium Kylo Ren though) but I only have three Marvel ones at the moment - Captain America, Groot and Rocket. I do like Marvel films but I'm not obsessed with them like I am with Disney and Star Wars so I don't tend to pick up many Marvel Tsums.

8. Do you have any ones from Clintons/Target/other non-Disney Store shops?
Yes - I've got about 20 from Clintons! I do prefer the Disney Store ones but I love that Posh Paws (the makers of the Clintons & Target Tsums) do a few of their own sizes/variations. I need the medium Judy Hopps from Clintons.

9. Do you dislike any Tsum Tsums?
I have to say I've been disappointed with most of the male Tsums... They all look so similar! I think the one that annoyed me the most was Flynn from Rapunzel - his goatee is so far down on his face that its not visible when he's sat on a shelf so he could be any other Prince character!

10. Who do you think they should have released with previous sets?
Generally I think Disney are pretty good at including a decent range of characters with their sets so the only one I can really think of is that I'd have liked a Jawa Tsum with the original Star Wars collection. But otherwise that's about it!

I wasn't sure who to tag in this so if you'd like to take part yourself feel free to use me as your tagger. Next up in my Tsum Tsum series will be Part 1 of my Tsum collection (there's too many photos for one post!) so watch out for that soon!

My Star Wars Confessions

Happy Star Wars day - #MayTheFourthBeWithYou! I thought it would be fitting today to share a few of my Star Wars confessions. I got the idea for this from Liz At Dreaming of Diamonds who published a great Star Wars confession post this morning which reminded me of the really popular Disney confessions posts first published by Belle's Moments, so I thought I'd admit a few of my Star Wars-related confessions too!

1. I used to prefer the prequels to the original trilogy. I just grew up with them, okay?! However after The Force Awakens (TFA) came out I revisited the original films again and I found a new appreciation for them.
2. Similar to the last point, I definitely wasn't a huge Star Wars fan before I saw TFA. I liked the films and I had a few bits of merchandise (namely Darth Maul and Jawa teddies...), but I wasn't obsessed with the franchise. However TFA definitely changed that!
3. Jar Jar Binks really annoys me! "Meesa-" NO. I thought I was in the majority with this opinion but as the Jar Jar Tsum Tsum was one of the first to sell out from the Phantom Menace collection I'm not so sure anymore!
4. I cried when I first saw the trailer for Rogue One. My boyfriend was due to call me on his lunchbreak just after I saw it so I had to text him to pre-warn him that I'd probably still be crying on the phone... IT'S JUST SO BEAUTIFUL! *ugly crying*
5. Although I'm obsessed with Kylo Ren (#BenIsBae) I'd probably be too scared to do a character meet with him! I've been stalking pictures on Instagram of people meeting him at Walt Disney World and he looks terrifying!

I'm guessing I'm probably alone on the crying over a trailer thing haha, but do you share any of my other confessions? If you'd like to find out how terrible a Disney fan I also am, you can read my Disney confessions here!

April 2016 Favourites

It's monthly favourites time again! My dissertation was due in at the end of April so naturally a lot of coffee products made their way onto this month's list! Here are the things I've been loving recently...
Food & drink
Nescafe Coconut Latte - I randomly stumbled across these in the supermarket and they are so, so good! I already loved this range of coffees because they're super frothy when all you have do to make them up is add hot water and stir but this new coconut one is a nice change from the standard flavours. Unfortunately these are currently limited edition so I'm going to have to stock up!

Whittard Cappuccino Flavour Chocolate Coated Espresso Beans - Chocolate combined with coffee? HELL YES. As well as being super delicious these also give you a little caffeine boost so I've been keeping these in a little tin in my bag for when I need a coffee-kick on the go!

Starbucks Spring Cups (Medium) - I know this is a bit of a strange thing to include but I've been so obsessed with Starbucks' spring cups range! There's three different designs but my favourite has to be the medium (Grande?) - the spring florals are so pretty. I'm going to use the empty cup to keep my makeup brushes in!
TV, film & music
When Calls The Heart - My Mum and I are always on the lookout for a good period drama to watch and at the moment we're addicted to this show. It's set in 1910 in a small Canadian town and although it can be a bit corny at times the relationship between the two main characters is so adorable! Jack + Elizabeth forever!

The 7th Sense by NCT U - I'd been waiting for these guys to debut for aaaaages and their first single finally dropped in April and I think it's safe to say it's definitely been worth the wait! Not only is the song everything I could have wanted from them but the accompanying music video is so on point. Dat choreography and general aesthetic. I'm really excited to hear their first album now!

Zootropolis - I finally got round to seeing Zootropolis right at the very end of April and oh my gosh. I was a bit nervous about seeing it as I was worried it wouldn't live up to all the amazing things I'd been hearing about it but the hype was definitely justified! I LOVED the message of the film and Judy Hopps has instantly become my new idol! Plus can we talk about how Disney gave her curves? It's so nice to see that Disney are starting to give their main females characters more diverse body types (werk dem curves gurrrll). It's safe to say there will be lots of Zootropolis merchandise in my next Disney Store order!
Lush Go Faster Feet Foot Lotion - The half marathon I was training for recently was in April which understandably left my feet a little worse-for-wear so the next day when I spotted this foot lotion on Lush Plymouth's Instagram page I thought I'd give it a go! It smells so lovely and fresh and the label says it's deodorising as well which is a bonus! I've been using this after every run to give my feet a bit of much-needed TLC.
